Identity of Elk Co. Fire Victim Released

Kersey (Hometown Radio PA) - A man has been identified, after a Tuesday fire in the Kersey area of Fox Township, Elk County.

Crews were dispatched to the fire that happened at about 6 AM Tuesday at a residence on Chicken Hill.

One victim was rescued and declared dead on the scene. 

The victim was identified as Jamie Yeager, 63, of Kersey, and his death is related to smoke inhalation.

The fire is currently being investigated by the state fire Marshal out of Ridgway.
